Midnight Magic at annual Bridal Bazaar
The Bridal Bazaar was presented on Jan. 15 at the San Diego Convention Center. This event had vendors in every aspect of the wedding, which made it non-stop shopping for any couple considering tying the knot. There were caterers, musicians, wedding planners, floral designers, photographers, and videographers.
For those who were planning a honeymoon, there were booths with information and for those who were interested in home buying, there were many real estate companies there to help. The most important part of a wedding is the fashion gowns and tuxes. During the event, there were two fashion shows demonstrating all the latest trends and fashions for weddings.
The runway show began with Jason Brown playing smooth jazz on his saxophone. He is an amazing artist and wowed the audience with his music. The fashion show was produced by Gretchen Productions, which marries dance, theater, and fashion for a unique experience. The audience was entertained by singing, dancing, and the latest bridal fashions.
The theme for this show was “Midnight Magic” and began with designs from Freedom Brides and Men’s Wearhouse. The first gown to step on the runway was a beautiful red gown by Freedom Brides. This revealed how bold colors are trending in bridesmaid dresses. The runway also showed different shades of blue, and even one segment with black dresses as popular bridesmaid dresses.
Little Kid’s Wear brought “oohs” and “ahhs” from the audience
with their darling clothes for boys and girls. Brides of San Diego showed gorgeous tulle dresses and body-fitting mermaid gowns. Natty Bella Couture presented stunning gowns with beaded lace. David’s Bridal presented sparkling beaded gowns with sequins. Friar Tux showed a variety of tuxedoes in many colors including boys and men.
The finale was a showstopper with the lavish gowns from Brides of San Diego and was topped off with J Lewis Bridal Accessories. The models threw rice sachets into the audience with thousands of dollars of prizes hidden inside. Patricia Norvell created the hair and makeup for the show.
If you are planning a wedding then the next Bridal Bazaar will be at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on April 16. For more information, call Gretchen Productions at 760-334-5500.
