Pedestrian sitting on center median struck and killed in Oceanside
A man who was seated on the center median of an Oceanside intersection was struck and killed by a driver Friday night, according to Oceanside police.
The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and College Boulevard, police said. The driver of a black Ford Mustang struck the man who was sitting on the center median, east of College Boulevard, an Oceanside police spokesperson said.
The man died at the scene, police said. His name was not released.
The driver of the Mustang remained at the scene. Neither drugs nor alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash, police said.
