Pet of the week: Playful, energetic American pit bull terrier mix looking to be adopted

Where: San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus, 5500 Gaines St.

Hours: Interested adopters can visit the campuses to adopt from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All animals available for adoption can be seen at sdhumane.org/adopt/available-pets.

Adoption fee: $150; includes spay/neuter, one-year license, a microchip and free first vet exam.

Profile: Blackberry is always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile. She’s full of playful energy and would thrive in an active home where she can be your only canine companion. She may also do best without young children (under age 10).
