Rec Center gingerbread house building event draws a large crowd
Elves of all ages filled the La Jolla Recreation center auditorium Dec. 10 to celebrate the season by making their very own cardboard gingerbread houses.
The event transformed the center into Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop, with staff handing guests gingerbread house kits with cardboard and other decorations. While the houses themselves were not edible, an assortment of treats were provided at the event.
