Some cities burn trash for electricity, so why not San Diego?
Re “Plastic in your green bin? Batteries in the trash? City inspectors are checking San Diegans’ garbage for compliance” (Nov. 11): Rather than following Sacramento’s mandates to do this or that with trash, why not process trash by burning it and generating electricity? Many cities — including Minneapolis; Vienna; Osaka; Paris; Copenhagen; Shenzhen, China; and Malmö, Sweden — do just that.
