Monday

Bica: Every Monday night, Bica hosts an industry night with rotating guest chefs. The evening includes a curated menu, wine, locally brewed beers and music. Tuesday

The Neil Diamond Experience: Broadway performer Robert Neary is bringing his production of “So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience” to El Cajon. The show is a celebration of Neil Diamond and spotlights 22 of the singer’s songs. Resident Free Days: On Tuesdays throughout each month, different local museums open their doors for free to local residents. This week’s open venues are Fleet Science Center and San Diego Natural History Museum. Make sure to bring identification. balboapark.org/resident-free-days

Wednesday

Dinos Alive Immersive Experience: Dinosaurs are roaming San Diego again at Dinos Alive Immersive Experience. Guests will see dozens of life-sized dinosaurs through animatronic displays, VR adventures and rides. This exhibit is divided into separate areas where families can learn about the early ages of dinosaurs, fossils and their extinction. Sky Tonight: On the first Wednesday of the month, Fleet Science hosts a planetarium show twice. This week’s show is “Cosmology,” and focuses on some of the answers to questions about the universe. Thursday

“Red White Winter”: OnWord Theatre opens its 2026 season with Adam Rapp’s drama about a love triangle that develops when two Americans whose long friendship is tested when they both fall for a worker in Amsterdam’s red light district. Play has strong sexual content and some nudity. Preview at 7 p.m. Thursday. Opens Jan. 9 and runs through Jan. 24. 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; 4 and 8 p.m. Saturdays. Adventures by the Book: The Hive of 5: In January, Adventures by the Book will host a panel discussion with five New York Times bestselling historical fiction novelists: Kate Quinn (“The Astral Library”), Madeline Martin (“The Secret Book Society”), Allison Pataki (“It Girl”), Kristina McMorris (“The Girls of Good Fortune”) and Stephanie Dray (“Becoming Madam Secretary”). Poway Winter Festival: The public can take part in various winter activities at the Poway Winter Festival, taking place at the Poway Community Park. Visitors can experience sledding down the snow hill, roasting marshmallows by a campfire and gliding around in a synthetic skate rink. Filipino karaoke night: The Council of Philippine American Organizations and San Diego History Center will host a night of music, food and drinks. Sklar Brothers: Comedy duo and twin siblings the Sklar Brothers, are landing in San Diego to perform five shows in three nights. Randy and Jason Sklar are known for their sports comedy. They have had shows on ESPN and UFC.
