Lady Gaga’s Former New York City Penthouse in the Iconic Hit Factory Building Is Available for $7 Million
A New York City penthouse that once served as the home of Lady Gaga has officially hit the market, asking $6.995 million.
The pop star’s former duplex residence is a 3,700-square-foot condominium at the top of an iconic Hell’s Kitchen building called The Hit Factory.
From 1993 to 2005, the location was the headquarters of the legendary recording studios, where artists including Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen, and U2 recorded some of their most popular albums.
According to Robb Report, the seven-story building became a 27-unit condominium after recording operations shut down, and the residences sold out in 2011.
In addition to the impressive slate of A-listers who have passed through the hallways of the building to make music, there are also a handful of notable residents who have shared the same address as the “Abracadabra” singer.

Retired basketball player Carmelo Anthony, comedian Tracy Morgan, and former NBA coach Amar’e Soudemire have all lived there at some point, too.
The home has not been on the market since 2018, when it last made an appearance asking $6.495 million, according to records. Previously, it had been offered as a rental, with a monthly rent of $24,500.
The dwelling has three bedrooms with an opportunity to turn a flexible space into a fourth. There are also three full bathrooms and a powder room the listing describes as “glamorous.”
The home makes a fantastic first impression with a double-height foyer that leads way to a great room with soaring ceilings. A smart gel fireplace is a bold statement in the otherwise bright and airy room, which is naturally well-lit thanks to the 9-foot double-paned windows.
There’s plenty of space to entertain here, with room for more than one lounge area and formal dining.

A “brand-new chef’s kitchen” defined by dazzling white marble countertops is tucked away behind sliding glass doors. With a Sub-Zero refrigerator, six-burner vented Viking range, Bosch dishwasher, and a wine fridge, it’s well equipped for a homeowner who loves to cook—even though there are plenty of celebrated restaurants just steps away, thanks to the prime location.
The first level also has two sizable bedroom suites, each boasting bespoke wardrobe spaces and full en suite bathrooms. A home office, in-unit laundry, and storage rooms thoughtfully designed with useful built-in solutions are here, as well.
Upstairs, a sprawling primary suite has enough room for both a cozy king size bed and dedicated seating areas. A skylight and complete wall of windows keeps the room flooded with sunshine.
The primary bathroom is a spa-inspired retreat, designed with marble, a walk-in glass shower, and a large soaking tub.
Perhaps the most exciting physical feature of the abode is the private 1,100-square-foot terrace with views of the skyline and Hudson River.
Additionally, the residence’s footprint is expanded by a deeded garage parking space and a cellar storage room—two underrated features in a Manhattan home.
The building also offers additional amenities, including concierge services, a full-time doorman, and a gym. Pets and pied-a-terres are permitted.
Although Lady Gaga is a native New Yorker, the star—who recently welcomed her first baby with fiancé Michael Polansky—currently lives in $22.5 million Malibu, CA, home she refers to as her “sanctuary."
In a 2018 Vogue cover story published shortly after she had offloaded her New York home, she revealed a newfound preference for the West Coast, noting the city had become “too hectic everyday outside on the street.”
There’s no denying the sprawling estate she lovingly refers to as her “gypsy palace” offers amenities that would be impossible to enjoy in Hell’s Kitchen, including multiple rose gardens, a saltwater pool, and a horse barn with grazing pastures and a dressage ring.
