This 83-Acre Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding Estate Is Heading to Auction With No Reserve
Imagine hosting a wedding or lavish event for 150 friends and family right on your very own Blue Ridge Mountain farm.
That could become a reality as an 83.56-acre property with a 5,000-square-foot event barn in Franklin, NC, heads to auction with no reserve on Nov. 7.
Created in 2010, Tessentee Farm has multiple structures, including an eight-bedroom primary residence, three two-bedroom guest cabins, and plenty of space to entertain.
"It has a nice big spread of land, so the duality of it also being an income-generating asset is pretty impressive," says Trayor Lesnock, founder and president of Platinum Luxury Auctions, who will host the auction. The listing is held by Isaiah Thomas Johns of Mountain Pro Real Estate Professionals.

The property last changed hands for $2,500,000 in 2013 and had hit the market for $6.9 million in November 2025.
“You have this large house with all the bells and whistles where you could live, an event barn, and three separate cabins where you could host events,” Lesnock says. “There is a good record of the farm being used for weddings and events.”
The luxury event barn, which can be heated and cooled, has hosted everything from destination weddings and rehearsal dinners to milestone celebrations and corporate retreats.
“We have had large families from the Blue Ridge Mountain region look at it and are wanting to use it for multigenerational living,” he notes. “About 50% were looking to use it as a private property and the other 50% were looking at it for the income generation.”

The primary residence has arched doorways, built-ins, French doors, a spacious dining room, a chef's kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a primary suite with a fireplace, soaking tub, and walk-in shower.
Covered terraces overlook the pool, which has a water slide and a swim-up bar, as well as an outdoor kitchen and a hot tub.
“It will probably go to someone who wants to use it privately,” Lesnock adds. “There are no outright restrictions, so you could develop it further.”
The rustic barn has exposed beams, wood-paneled walls, string lighting, and an open field ideal for photos. A ceremony could be held in the pasture, followed by cocktails under the stars, and dinner and dancing inside the barn, with guests retreating to cabins for an overnight stay.
Lesnock says the countryside setting could lend itself to an equestrian estate.
“You could make it more of a farm and add an arena if you wanted,” he says. “Franklin is not an area that pops up on a lot of people’s maps, but it’s in the southern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville is only an hour away. There is also a creek that borders the property that is excellent for trout fishing.”
