23-year-old motorist killed in Vista after striking roadside tree
A young motorist died in Vista on Friday after their vehicle struck a tree, authorities said.
The 23-year-old driver crossed the median of Shadowridge Drive near Sycamore Avenue when they struck the tree just before 4 p.m., San Diego County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Cottrell said in a statement.
No one else was in the vehicle during the crash, Cottrell said.
First responders transported the driver to the hospital, where they later died. The medical examiner’s office has yet to release further information about the driver.
