Arizona couple’s San Diego tax complaint: the rest of the story
Re “Arizona couple says ‘goodbye, San Diego’ after seeing tax on beach rental” (Aug. 3): So our guests from Mesa, Arizona, are upset with paying San Diego’s Transient Occupancy Tax.
This criticism seems misguided. If they choose next year to have a staycation in Mesa rather than visiting San Diego, they will actually be paying a higher TOT.
