Future Legends hosts annual scholar recognition event

The Future Legends organization gathered Dec. 21 at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club to renew its continuing commitment to the support and success of deserving college students, according to a news release.

The event honored Future Legends scholars, mentors, founders and supporters of the organization. Landon Donovan emceed with Chuck Courtney providing opening remarks.

Don Carter and Tim Fox followed by giving the attendees a glimpse of the board’s strategic initiatives for expanding outreach and ensuring the continued success of the scholars.

In addition, two scholars, Austin Powell and Keala Macias, briefly acknowledged how they have personally benefitted from the Future Legends program.

The evening concluded with active scholars receiving their annual Dress for Success gift cards from the Personal Shoppers Program, provided through a valued partnership with Nordstrom’s, the news release stated.

Future Legends is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in Rancho Santa Fe.
