Here’s a thought: Fix SR-67’s deficiencies, don’t keep studying them
“Sheriff’s Office and CHP collaborating to improve safety on SR-67” (Aug. 10): Great. Another study addressing safety issues on the 67. And how many will this make? Here’s a suggestion: Take the money that would be spent on another study and use it to actually address the problem. Are we to believe that Caltrans engineers, CHP staff and others don’t have the expertise to already know what the most viable alternatives are? But as usual, the predictable answer from local and state level politicians is another study. Little wonder this problem hasn’t been fixed.
