Mission Beach Real Estate Association raises $27K for Pacific Beach schools

Mission Beach Real Estate Association presented a check for $27,019 on Dec. 9 to representatives of Pacific Beach Elementary, Sessions Elementary, Crown Point Junior Music Academy and Barnard Mandarin Magnet Elementary.

The donation represents the proceeds from the MBREA’s 24th annual Don Brown Links for Learning Golf Tournament, which was held at the La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

This event was started in 2000 by Don Brown, an integral member of the association, a long-time Pacific Beach resident and father of three. Brown was dedicated to giving back to the community, and through his efforts, the Mission Bay Real Estate Association has donated much needed funds to Pacific Beach’s public elementary schools.

While Brown died in 2017, his spirit of giving and generosity lives on through the golf tournament, which has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to PB’s public elementary schools over the past 24 years.
