Motorcyclist killed in solo crash in Lakeside
A 55-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed in a solo crash in Lakeside, authorities said Monday.
The crash happened around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, when the rider of an eastbound 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide veered off El Monte Road and crashed into a metal pole near the intersection of Omas Dirt Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers said the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and collided with a wooden post fence. He was pronounced dead by medical personnel at the scene. His name was not immediately available.
