One dead after two bicycles collide at Lake Murray
One bicyclist died and another was injured when their bikes collided while riding around Lake Murray in the San Carlos neighborhood Friday morning, San Diego police said.
The crash, which happened on the bike path that loops around the reservoir, was reported to police about 7:25 a.m., San Diego police Officer David O’Brien said.
One cyclist died at the scene. The other cyclist was transported to a hospital, but O’Brien did not know the extent of the person’s injuries.
The department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the collision. No further information was immediately available.
