One person dies in Ramona crash
One person was killed Thursday when a vehicle veered off a rural Ramona-area roadway and struck an embankment.
The crash happened on state Route 78 at Weekend Villa Road shortly before 4 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The person died at the scene, the CHP said. It was unclear if the fatality was the driver or an occupant of the vehicle.
