Pacific Beach Holiday Parade is a festive treat for all
The 45th annual Pacific Beach Holiday Parade was held on Dec. 13 along Garnet Avenue. The theme was “Candy Coated Holiday.”
The parade featured participants of all ages, ranging from school and youth organizations to churches, businesses and community groups. There were plenty of elaborately-decorated floats along with fancy cars, decked-out golf carts and lots of colorful costumes.
Shortly before the parade began, thousands of runners donned Santa suits to participate in the 13th annual Santa Run 1K, Kids 1 mile and Dog 1 mile races along Garnet Avenue. The Santa Run is so popular that participants had to be divided among two waves in the 5K, slated for 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
