Pet of the week: Playful 1-year-old mastiff is waiting to be adopted

Animal: Jones, 1-year-old mastiff mix, #967270.

Where: San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus, 5500 Gaines St.

Hours: Interested adopters can visit the campuses to adopt from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. All animals available for adoption can be seen at sdhumane.org/adopt/available-pets.

Adoption fee: $165; includes spay/neuter, one-year license, a microchip and free first vet exam.

Profile: Jones is playful and loves to be with people although he can be a bit shy at first with new faces and places. He’s very smart and treat motivated. Jones might do best as the only canine companion in the house.
