Roundup: Here’s how San Diego’s high school football teams fared on Friday
After Wednesday’s practice, Mission Bay High School coach Greg Tate brought his team together and told the Buccaneers that it has been 16 years since the program enjoyed an undefeated season. That 2009 team finished 13-0, winning the Buccaneers’ last section championship.
“That was really a wake-up call,” said running back/DB Shane Brushie. “We should start our own history. That’s pretty long. I feel it’s long overdue.”
